Chembond Biosciences is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chembond Chemicals ltd. In the mid 1970s, Dr. Vinod Shah felt he had built up sufficient capital for pursuing his dream of being an entrepreneur and left the safety of his high-level job with an MNC. He thus fulfilled a mission he had been on since returning to India. He started Chembond based on his work in the US and observations in India that there was a need for better corrosion protection of metal surfaces prior to painting. From those humble beginnings in a small shed in Parel, Mumbai manufacturing pre-treatment chemicals and job coating small parts, Chembond now straddles a wide range of segments serving Indian industry.
Today, Chembond is a market leader in industrial water treatment, material technologies, construction chemicals, and biosciences among other areas.
