Process
The ability of commercial poultry birds to convert their feed into eggs and meat is highly dependent on the health of their digestive tract. When chicks hatch, their digestive tracts are free from microbes, but bacterial colonization begins as soon as they begin eating. Introducing probiotics from day one can thus have a beneficial impact on their gut health. The natural gut microflora of birds includes various species of bacteria, protozoa, and fungi. This is why we have developed a multiple strain probiotic that is more effective than a high concentration of one or two strains.
